Lucy Best is an artist and teacher. Her passion and research are focused on the transformational potential of creativity and the impact that this has on the cognitive and emotional development of the individual. Lucy is the founder of ‘The Power of Inspiration’, a program of learning comprising the theories of Abraham Maslow, philosophy, and art and design education. She delivers these workshops to a broad spectrum of clients. She also teaches painting both privately and for the Boroughs of Poole and Bournemouth.

She has recently completed her MA in fine art at Portsmouth University researching the functions of the brain and their interdependence on philosophical, religious, and psychological enquiries, as well as the convergence of artistic and scientific knowledge in the creation of artworks.
Her influences vary but come mainly from the Fauves and Cubists in her search for expression through colour and line.
